Still, It Blooms!

This piece felt very quiet to me while I painted it — just one simple rose standing alone, surrounded by stillness. There’s something powerful about that… it doesn’t need a whole garden to be beautiful. It just grows anyway.

The soft white around it could be snow, or just a calm space, but either way the rose doesn’t fight it — it rises gently through it. To me, it represents those moments when life feels cold or uncertain, yet something inside us keeps reaching upward. Not loudly, not dramatically… just steadily.

It’s a reminder that even in the quietest seasons, something meaningful can still bloom.
