Mane Attraction!

This piece began as an unexpected moment. We were driving down a quiet road on vacation and I snapped a photo almost without thinking. I didn’t even realize what I had captured until later, when I enlarged the image and saw this peaceful horse grazing calmly behind the fence.

There was something so simple and genuine about it — no staging, no planning, just a quiet slice of life that happened to unfold at the right second. While painting it, I kept thinking about how many beautiful moments we pass every day without noticing. This one felt like a small gift… a reminder to slow down and appreciate the calm, ordinary scenes that often hold the most meaning.

The relaxed posture, the soft grass, and the familiar rural setting all come together to create a sense of stillness - like time paused just long enough to take a breath.
